Motovun Film Festival is an independent legal entity, which endeavours to present the main trends and tendencies in the contemporary world cinema and to broaden creative contacts between international and Croatian filmmakers in order to make a positive contribution to the development of film industry and culture.

Program

Full Length Features and Documentaries (international selection),
Motovun Shorts (international selection of fiction and animated shorts up to 20 min. screened in the cinema);
Children and Youth programe in Buzet.

Motovun Shorts is a competition program and the best film will receive a cash award.

In order to be accepted for the preselection, films must have had their national premieres (not applicable to Croatian films) that took place in the past 18 months prior to the festival. Films for the Motovun Shorts selection must be 20 minutes or less.
All films must have been made in or after 1st of January 2022.
Motovun Film Festival does not accept submissions of feature-length films. They are invited at the programmers' discretion.
Works praising racism or pornography are not accepted.
Screening Media Type: DCP (preferred), or video formats – ProRES 422 or similar is acceptable.
