Thessaloniki Free Short Festival is a Free Short Film Festival for filmmakers all over the world.
The team of Thessaloniki Free Short Festival consists of graduates and students of Art schools from the area of ​​Thessaloniki. We work as a team. Our goal is to give filmmakers from all over the world (professionals and amateurs) the opportunity to participate in a short film festival at no cost, to showcase their work and to create a communication network between them.
It's Free to submit. We accept short films up to 40 minutes that were shot from 2020 onwards.
Our 1st Season (2021) was a success with 240 submissions from almost 40 Countries.

Summer Edition (A mini Online Short Film Event. Short Films from 2016 onwards. Short Films that took part in the 1st edition of the festival can not participate again in Summer Edition):

Season 2 (2022) Submissions:
Opening Date October 1st 2021 - Final Deadline February 28th 2022.

Laurels will be given to Official Selection Short Films,
Laurels will be given to Nominated Short Films of each main category and subcategory.
Laurels and Certifications will be given to Winners of each category and subcategory.

3 films from each main category will be selected as Winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
3 Greek films will be selected as Winners in Greek Short Film category (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
1 award to each sub category (Best Director, Actor, Actress etc.)
10 Short Films will be nominated in each main category
10 Greek Short Films will be nominated in Greek Short Film category
6 nominations in each subcategory
Also honorable mentions may be given

You agree that all rights of your film belongs to you.
All films must have English subtitles or be in English.
Films from 2020 onwards.
Short Films that took part in the 1st edition of the festival can not participate again in the 2nd season.
Festival can use photos and trailer of your Short Film for promotional purposes of the festival (social medial etc.).
Submissions only at WFCN not via email.
