Together with the fmx -Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Interactive Media, the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film is developing into the biggest and most important meeting in the world of animated film. Founded in 1982, the Festival of Animated Film has always promoted artistic animated films, young talented artists and the entire animated film sector. The accompanying events and programmes range from presentations by schools and studios, showcases of famous animation artists and the popular “Best Of Animation” series, right up to screenplay writer workshops with well-known animated film professionals. At the festival’s open air programme on the Schlossplatz in Stuttgart, the people of Stuttgart celebrate the art of animated film together with guests from all over the world.

Any animated film including computer generated animation and combinations of life action and animation completed after October 01, 2023 may participate;
Entry forms (online or in print form) are required to be fully completed and have to include a brief synopsis of the film, a list of cast and credits, a CV and a fi lmography of the director, a dialogue list with time codes in original language and English, a list of subtitles in English, film stills (300 dpi), available press material and a preview DVD. The film may also be submitted in digital data transmission.

After completing the form you can upload your film. Films may also be submitted on DVD.

One may use the online submission platform to submit your film.
