South by Southwest (SXSW) is a set of film, interactive and music festivals. Jury Awards (Documentary Feature and Short/Narrative Feature and Short);
Audience Awards (Documentary Feature and Short/Narrative Feature and Short/Emerging Visions/Spotlight Premiere);
SXSW Film Design Awards (Excellence in Poster Design/Excellence in Title Design).

Films must have been completed in the year prior to the festival;
Priority is given to new work and world premieres, but not exclusively.

Additional Information

The winner of the short film competition automatically qualifies for the OSCAR competition for the Best Short Film.
