Director's Biography
Livia Oya Proto is A director and screenwriter graduated from Rufa ( Rome University Of Fine Arts) born in Istanbul, Turkey in 2002. She is half Italian and half Turkish and she lives in Rome,Italy. Her first experimental short art movie entitled "And Again And Again And Again" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjUxwJpEZyk) made in 2017 was selected and screened in various movie festivals such as Lisbon Short-Film Rendezvous Festival, West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival, International Rome Pathological Film Festival, Cefalù Film Festival, Mamma Roma Short Film Festival. In 2022, as her final university project she has written and directed " It appeared it disappeared" (https://youtu.be/GesEMFEsfzg) which was selected and screened in Tito Film Festival, Student World Impact Film Festival (New Jersey), FESTIVAL ANGAELICA (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt29623161/), Camera Zizanio. Her most recent work as a director, screenwriter and line producer is Echo which is selected as a monthly pick of July in Prisma "Rome Independent Film Awards"(https://www.romeprismafilmawards.com/july-2024-monthly-picks/), WEB SERIES FILM FESTIVAL in Lima,Peru 2024, St.Auggie Shorts Film Festival 2025. As a screenwriter with her new Anthological tv series "ephemeral" was selected as a finalist in the third edition of Z-PITCH created in collaboration with the Rome Film Fest, Naba, Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti and the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples and to the Social World Impact Film festival in Vico Equense to present it as a pitch.
