A chain-smoking screenwriter with an upcoming deadline, driven from his apartment by construction racket, goes to a remote country B&B only to find it is strictly non-smoking- and he is out of matches as well. His efforts to surreptitiously sneak a smoke as well as find something to light it produce a series of cascading disasters.

Having been variously a farm hand, hotel kitchen dishwasher, tennis champion, factory worker, pilot, Army officer and practicing Family Practice Physician, he brings a wealth of experience to his writing, with an emphasis on comedy.
