Director's Statement
Shot in urgency between October and November 2024, during the latest war in Lebanon, Guerrilla Beirut emerged from a visceral need to capture the moment. Inspired by real events, the film blends improvised sequences with staged scenes, constantly shifting between reality and fiction. This hybrid approach aims to mirror the disorientation of a fractured country, where daily life slips into the surreal. Through a sensory exploration of the body and mind under siege, the film seeks to reveal the invisible scars of war—the kind that distort perception, blur time, and deeply alter the human psyche.
