Sampat is a native of a remote and enigmatic island, born and raised there. On this island, Ajit, an outsider, has recently arrived to set up a small business. The two men have struck up an unusual camaraderie, with Ajit often serving as Sampat's sidekick. They frequently indulge in drinking sessions together.

One fateful evening coinciding with the fishermen's festival, Sampat and Ajit drink heavily into the night. Overcome by hunger, Sampat insists on taking Ajit to his home for food. At the house, they encounter Binni, Sampat's wife, who is seething with anger. A heated argument ensues between the couple, leading to a dramatic fallout. Frustrated and still starving, Sampat storms out of the house with Ajit in tow.

As they wander through the island's dimly lit paths, Sampat's erratic behavior ensnares Ajit in an unforeseen predicament. In a shocking turn of events, Sampat kills Ajit in a fit of rage or perhaps through a sinister plan. Now burdened with disposing of Ajit's lifeless body, Sampat scrambles for a solution. At this critical juncture, his brother-in-law, Pandurang, arrives, revealing a chilling twist. It becomes evident that Pandurang and Binni are complicit in Sampat's mysterious and violent tendencies, aiding and abetting his sinister actions all along.
