Singing To The Chairs is a feature-length documentary that reveals, in songs and narratives, the lives of independent musicians and their intimate relationship with the empty spaces and noisy bars that shape their daily lives. The film delves into the dreams and challenges of singers, songwriters and musicians who perform in nightclubs, restaurants, squares and even on the streets, painting a vibrant and authentic portrait of the independent music scene.
With testimonies from notorious personalities who were once anonymous and aspiring celebrities, the film combines humor and emotion to explore the stories of love, creativity and new compositions inspired by endless nights. Through heartfelt testimonies, the artists share their journeys, revealing the stories that only a musician of the night could share.
With art direction, photography and soundtrack inspired by the Impressionist movement (painting and music), in particular the composers Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy, Singing To The Chairs celebrates the persistence and passion of these artists, offering the audience an intimate and moving insight into their experiences and dreams.
