Director's Biography
Abigail Pickard Price is an acclaimed UK based theatre director, Sophia filmed during London's lockdown marks her first film production.
Director's Statement
Sophia looks at the life of the Sikh suffragette Sophia Duleep Singh and her fight for the voting rights of all women. Filmed during the dying days of the United Kingdom's Covid lockdown and edited over the course of the following year. Sophia tells the story of a forgotten name from history.
Filmed as a film/theatre hybrid, Sophia highlights the power of one woman's voice.
