Abhishek Singh is a passionate independent filmmaker based in Jabalpur, India. Without any formal film school background, he taught himself the craft of storytelling, driven purely by emotion, observation, and the need to express internal worlds through cinema. Stripped Photographs is his directorial debut — a deeply personal and visual exploration of grief, memory, and loneliness. With a background in writing and a deep appreciation for visual storytelling, Abhishek aims to create films that don’t just tell a story, but let the audience feel it in their own way. His work leans into silence, symbolism, and emotionally charged imagery to reflect the fragile nature of human emotions.

Director's Statement
Stripped Photographs is a deeply personal film. It was born from a quiet, painful kind of grief — the kind that doesn’t scream, but lingers in silence. I wanted to explore how memories, especially of someone we’ve lost, can haunt us and shape the way we live.
I chose to tell this story visually, with minimal dialogue, because some emotions are simply too heavy for words. The decision to leave the characters unnamed was intentional — grief is universal, and I wanted the audience to see themselves in these people, to feel what they feel.
This is my first film, created with a small team, a phone camera, and a lot of belief. Despite the limitations, every frame was made with care and love.
I hope Stripped Photographs connects with anyone who has ever held on to the memory of someone who is no longer there.
