Director's Biography
After his studies, Marc-Olivier Louveau (pseudonym Lou Ma Ho) worked in radio, theatre, and as a copywriter in advertising. His writing techniques made for a natural entry into screenplays for television and cinema. He writes also books The little writer's manual (2019), The last seat (2018), Racine square (2017), The Turpitudes of the circle (2012), Muhatsu The little zen monk (2016),...
Expert in Viet Vu Dao,a Vietnamese martial art, he created his own school in 1996. A documentary project on the Vietnamese martial arts, “Les Fils du Ciel " (Sons of the Sky), allowed him to combine his two passions : cinema and Asia.
While preparing a short film in 2002, “Hand on Heart" (La main sur le Coeur), his Master of calligraphy gave him his pseudonym Lou Ma Ho (he who spreads the words of Confucius in the Occident).
In 2005, he directed “L’Eveil du Moine" (A Monk’s Awakening), a film which received numerous awards and was selected at film festivals worldwide. In 2006 Nico and in 2008, Dead Cell (Cellule Morte).
His feature film "Koan of Spring" releases in January 2016. He has just finished "The tea at the bottom of the teapot" (Le thé au fond de la théière).
Now, he prepares the production of the feature film "The Invicible Chevalier" - Production Maki Films (shooting planned for January 2020).
