I decided to direct this short film ‘LIMITLESS’ because I have always been impressed by the symbiosis between humans and animals, especially the predator instinct also present in the human being.

The internal motivation to achieve personal goals is the engine that drives every human being. The idea of representing this ‘inner fire’, 'ambition' in images through a short film was both inspiring and exciting at the same time.

It was important to me that the images expressed these human feelings of becoming successful and achieving goals. With the combination of real wolves, epic music, camera work, film editing and a well-known motivational speaker, I wanted to involve the viewers using all their senses and motivate the audience to achieve all their goals.

The idea became reality when my crew and I had the opportunity to meet some real wolves.

One of the challenges of making this film was learning how to work patiently with animals and letting them express their own nature without trying to impose our ideas on them.

The experience of working on this film will help me in future projects, because patience, empathy and building good chemistry between actors, crew and animals are the key to achieving a better result than originally expected.

Wolfgang Stegemann is a 2 Unit Director and film-maker with a passion and flair for high-impact, adrenaline charged and
suspenseful action films. He has worked in the film industry for over 26 years, amassing credits on renowned, award-winning film,
episodic, commercial, and music video projects.
Wolfgang’s journey in film and TV was grounded as a stunt and fight coordinator. He soon rose to the top of his field, working on
epic action sequences, alongside some of well-known names in film production.
Wolfgang’s talent quickly progressed his career and he was tapped as a 2 Unit Director, where he keenly developed his skill and
craft. He is constantly working on new inventions of shooting styles, utilising newly developed and advanced technologies and has
experience with Volume - Real & Unreal Engine / Mixing the Volume with live action work.
Wolfgang's passion lies in exploring and realising new ideas to bring the directors and producers vision to life.
· 2nd Unit has to be in sync with Main Unit and create a seamless transition from drama to action.
· Designing Action Sequences is all about storytelling.
· Using the right technology in the correct manner to tell the story.
The last 15 years Wolfgang is working mainly in the UK and has a great circle of 2nd Unit Crew and Equipment!
Wolfgang has also been editing himself for 24 years and creates editing layouts for all the action he shoots. He uses a live editor on
set to ensure that filming runs efficiently.
Wolfgang’s creative strength lies in storytelling and his innate ability to connect with his crew and the cast. He has a unique vision
for blending the diverse styles of action he’s mastered over the years and then invent unique action sequences and fight
choreography, developing and refining them, both in front of and behind the camera.
