Anna Brass (*1981) is a German director and cinematographer for documentary films. Her films often deal with the theme of "injustice". In her work, Brass likes to experiment with forms of documentary storytelling from the screen to the internet. Her works can be seen at international festivals and on television. Brass lived in America and France for long periods of time and often travels abroad for filming. Brass is often invited to give seminars at universities with her films. She also works as a curator and jury member at the Hofer Film Festival and the Biberach Film Festival, among others. Since 2019, Anna Brass has been supporting the documentary film department of the HFF Munich as an artistic-scientific assistant. Anna Brass has two Master degrees and lives with her family in Munich.
