Launched in 2016 as the Imagination Lunchbox International Children's Film Festival to screen and award short films made by kids from Baltimore and around the world.
In 2023 it added the Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festival to screen and award short films made by adults from Baltimore and around the world
Of the week long activities there is the ILICFF and ILIFF screening and awards; the screenings of the shorts at selected Baltimore city public schools; a filmmaking workshop for kids and adults; a open call audition for kid and adult actors, and for exercise and fun the open court community basketball event. All activities are free.
Both ILIFF and ILICFF are held at various locations in Baltimore (with virtual access to some activities). Major location is the Eubie Blake Cultural Center in Baltimore.

Winners also have the option of submitting their short to air on the Stitt Entertainment Network.
The Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festival accepts for consideration, films made by adults (that are kid friendly). Films must be no longer than 10 minutes and may include, but are not limited to narratives, animation, documentaries, feature, and experimental works that are either domestic or foreign. Creative and innovative works and viewpoints are always a plus.
Filmmakers from all over the world are encouraged to submit their work, however, as a Baltimore, Maryland based festival we do encourage local filmmakers to submit their work, and express any roots, staging, or connection to the city of Baltimore in Maryland and the surrounding area/states. We have also set a goal for at least a percentage of our films for the festivals be from filmmakers from Baltimore. International voices and experiences we encourage you to please use English subtitles.
We also encourage filmmakers that hope to premiere their work at prominent film festivals or events to check with those festivals and their premier, viewing, or screening requirements. Imagination Lunchbox LLC is not responsible for a film's ineligibility for other festivals due to a screening at this film festival, or an Imagination Lunchbox associated festival.
Filmmakers are responsible for knowing and understanding their authority to provide their film to the Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festival for screening at the festival events. Imagination Lunchbox LLC and its affiliated film festivals are not responsible for any violation connected to a submitted or screened filmed that has been mistakenly or purposely performed by the individual that has submitted the film to Imagination Lunchbox LLC for consideration and screening.
The Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festival will NOT be able to help defray the costs of travel and lodging to attend the festival.
The Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festival does not provide cash prizes for winning a festival category. Award categories are subject to change.
The Imagination Lunchbox International Film Festival will not return entries or refund entry fees.
If submitting via an online platform, please be certain to provide any required passwords to access your film. Please ensure this password remains active and unchanged through September of this year. Failure to submit a password may be grounds for rejection from the festival.
