We are the only festival that truly values the engine of your movie: the performance
OUR MISSION:
To bridge the gap between the technicalities of filmmaking and the visceral truth of human performance. Acting and Beyond exists to provide a global stage where the actor’s craft is not a secondary element, but the primary lens through which cinematic excellence is measured. We are dedicated to discovering, elevating, and rewarding the brave performances that form the backbone of independent and commercial cinema alike.
OUR VISION:
To become the world’s definitive sanctuary for character-driven storytelling. We envision a future where "Acting and Beyond" is the gold standard for recognizing talent—a place where directors and actors converge to celebrate the "human" in the "motion picture." We aim to foster a community where the synergy between the lens and the soul is dissected, understood, and honored.
At AABFF, we believe that a film doesn't end when the camera stops rolling, and a performance isn't limited to a script. The "Beyond" in our title represents:
Beyond the Script: Celebrating the improvisation and instinct that brings a scene to life.
Beyond the Frame: Acknowledging the preparation, the physical transformations, and the psychological endurance of the performer.
Beyond the Screen: Creating a lasting network of collaborators who prioritize the human element in every project they touch.
We look forward to your submission.
Official IMDb Title Credit: Guaranteed placement of the win/nomination on the film’s IMDb page and the individual pages of the actors and director.
Laurels: You will be provided with laurels for use on movie posters, trailers, and social media.
Certificates: Winners will be provided with Winner's certificate.
Network: Networking opportunities with casting directors, distributors for better opportunities.
