Cinephilia Motion Pictures Festival is an online film festival originating in Spain. Passionate, sophisticated, and devoted to living the good life, Spain is both a stereotype come to life and a country more diverse than you ever imagined.
Spain’s diverse landscapes stir the soul. The Pyrenees and the Picos de Europa are as beautiful as any mountain range on the continent, while the snowcapped Sierra Nevada rises improbably from the sun-baked plains of Andalucía; these are hiking destinations of the highest order. The wildly beautiful cliffs of Spain’s Atlantic northwest are offset by the charming coves of the Mediterranean. And everywhere you go, villages of timeless beauty perch on hilltops, huddle in valleys and cling to coastal outcrops as tiny but resilient outposts of Old Spain. That's where the country's charms are most likely to take hold.
CMPF supports talented filmmakers in their pursuits by showcasing their best artworks through a film festival designed to promote local, regional and international short films. The festival is run and managed by a group of Cinephiles themselves.
Our vision is to create an opportunity for independent filmmakers to have their work screened and judged. We believe in the potential of the public of becoming a significant factor in contributing to the development of the filmmaking process and we aim to engage them in discovering the potential of the online cinematic culture.
The officially selected project in each month receives CMPF laurel and certificate. All monthly Award Winners receive laurel and customized certificate.
The awards are given in the following categories:
Narrative Feature (>40 mins)
Short Film (<40 mins)
Besides the CATEGORY AWARDS, there are also OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS, CRITICS CHOICE AWARDS, AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARDS and HONOURABLE MENTION AWARDS, which are given, in all categories.
