This is a space for filmmakers, producers, and film lovers to connect through short films and engage more deeply with cinema. The festival showcases creative and meaningful works from national and international voices, and celebrates the art of storytelling. It explores powerful narratives and offers a platform for the recognition of both emerging and established talent.

We believe in the short film as a complete and powerful format, capable of expressing ideas and emotions with clarity and depth. Ecos is also a space to share perspectives between generations, between new talent and experienced filmmakers.

All official selections are eligible for first, second, or third place distinctions within their respective categories.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

A specialized jury composed of directors, screenwriters, film critics, and production experts will evaluate the short films based on the following criteria:

Creativity and Originality: The ability to innovate in storytelling, present unique concepts, and capture the viewer’s attention.
Cinematography: The use of lighting, framing, and color to enhance the visual narrative.
Sound: The quality of sound design, including music, effects, and dialogue, and its contribution to the viewer's immersion.
Audiovisual Production: Consistency in art direction, locations, costumes, and special effects.
Editing: The ability to structure the narrative smoothly and effectively.
Performances: The interpretive quality of the actors and their ability to bring the characters to life.
Eligibility: Open to filmmakers and producers of any nationality.

Abierto: cineastas y productores de cualquier nacionalidad.
