- INTRODUCTION -

The Fugitif Short Film Festival is an international competitive festival. This event aims to offer a high quality artistic and cultural experience in an exceptionally charming cinema in Avignon, the heart of the south of France.

The main screenings cover all styles: fiction, live action, animation, documentary, experimental, etc. We also offer a special screening for young audiences. Finally, a selection of music videos clips will be published on an online platform.

- PUBLIC SCREENINGS -

The festival takes place in the beautiful Cinéma de l'Utopia Palais des Papes in Avignon, France. This year, the main screening will be inaugurated by a concert in the cinema (AV performance) and enhanced with a buffet.

We also organise meetings between shortlisted directors and film students to encourage exchange and participate in the cultural weaving of the audiovisual sector.

A jury of selected artists will be present at the screening to determine the winner of the Fugitif Award. The public will also be invited to vote for the Fugitif Public Award.

- 2022 THEME #1: THE NIGHT -

1. The theme The Night can be approached literally and/or metaphorically. It can be a detail or a main element of the film.

2. Duration: from 2 to 25 minutes.

3. All styles and genres are accepted: live-action, animation, fiction, documentary, comedy, horror, etc.

4. The date of creation is not restrictive.



- 2022 THEME #2: LGBT+ -

1. We have created this category to offer reduced rates for films dealing with this theme.

2. Duration: from 2 to 25 minutes.

3. All styles and genres are accepted: live-action, animation, fiction, documentary, comedy, horror, etc.

4. The date of creation is not restrictive.



- 2022 THEME #3: YOUNG AUDIENCE -

1. The Fugitif is making a special screening for the young audience.

2. Duration: from 2 to 25 minutes.

- 2022 THEME #4: MUSIC VIDEO -

1. This year we would like to make a special place for music videos.

2. Duration: from 2 to 25 minutes.

- FEES -

Early-bird (17 january - 16 february 2022) : 15€ (Theme #2 LGBT+ : 11€)
Regular deadline fee (17 february - 16 june 2022): 20€ (Theme #2 LGBT+ : 15€)
Late deadline (17 june - 17 july): 25€ (Theme #2 LGBT+ : 20€)

In the case of cancellation or disqualification for failure to comply with the imposed regulations, entry fees are non-refundable.

ALL KIND, ALL GENRE

Duration: from 2 to 25 minutes.

The date of creation is not restrictive.

Short films registered in previous editions can register again this year.

In case of selection, you must be able to provide your film in the following technical conditions:

A Digital Cinema Package + ProRes (or H264)
Resolution: PAL and NTSC (or SECAM) from 720x400px to HD 1920x1080px
Dialogues: you must provide subtitles in French and/or English.
