Horror Haven presents a novel concept: a virtual film festival that prioritizes quality. In recognizing the challenges of anxiety and public settings, we've crafted an online platform that preserves the essence of traditional film festivals. Beginning in 2024, we've transformed our event into a quarterly online extravaganza, offering timely recognition through quarterly awards.

Our virtual festival provides filmmakers and fans alike with convenient access to top-tier horror content. From the comfort of your home, immerse yourself in a curated selection of spine-chilling films, all available at your fingertips.

In-Person Festival Extravaganza:

But that's not all! Horror Haven also hosts an exhilarating in-person event, where we showcase the winning short films from throughout the year to a live audience of up to 300 individuals. No need to resubmit your work - if you're a winner from that year, your film automatically takes center stage. Additionally, the top three feature films, as selected by our esteemed judging panel, will be showcased. Following the screenings, awards are presented, with winners having the exclusive opportunity for a first-look deal with our partner, Bayview Entertainment.

As the pinnacle of achievement, the recipient of the Best Feature Film award will be bestowed with a prestigious First Look Deal: The winning film at our end-of-the-year festival will secure an exclusive first look deal with a globally renowned distribution company, providing an unparalleled opportunity for exposure and widespread distribution.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. Quality Submissions: We welcome your finest horror shorts and features.
2. Completion Date: Films must be completed AFTER January 1, 2020.
3. Original Work Requirement: Films must be the original work of the applicants. If based on another person’s life, a book, or underlying work, applicants must secure necessary rights without submitting these agreements.
4. Submission Methods: Films must be submitted as an online streaming video via a participating platform (FilmFreeway), a password-protected streaming URL, or on DVD/Blu-Ray with NTSC or PAL formatting (please test before sending).
5. Age Requirement: Applicants under the age of 18 must obtain a parent or legal guardian’s signature to participate in the competition.
6. Clear Labeling: Please ensure clear labeling of your submission.
7. Compliance Acknowledgment: By agreeing to the terms and conditions of Blood Pact Films' Horror Haven Film Expo, the applicant acknowledges reading and agreeing to the following rules and guidelines:
• Submission Compliance: I have read, understood, and fully comply with all submission eligibility information, Submission Guidelines, Terms and Conditions of Entry, and Entry Eligibility requirements.
• Truthful Submission: To the best of my knowledge, all statements in this submission are true.
• Legal Authorization: This film or video is not subject to any litigation nor threatened by any litigation, and I am authorized to submit this film to the expo.
• Liability Waiver: I hold Blood Pact Films, Horror Haven Film Expo, and its promotion team harmless from any claims of liability for anything that might occur during the course of the expo or screening of the film.
• Rights Certification: I certify that I have full rights to the use of the music, print, images, and everything contained in the film and/or promotional materials. Blood Pact Films expressly disclaims all liability or responsibility for any violations of the foregoing.
• Promotional Permissions: I give permission for Horror Haven Film Expo to use stills, titles, copies, clips, and/or information from the film for any promotional purposes pertaining to the expo.
• Screening Authorization: I give permission for Horror Haven Film Expo to screen the film at the Expo for which it was submitted.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• Press Kit: The inclusion of a press kit for your film is preferred but not required for submission.
• Return of Materials: DVDs and press materials will not be returned under any circumstances. Include a self-addressed, stamped postcard for each submission if you wish acknowledgment of the receipt of your entry.
