The Panda Vision International Film Festival is a one-day celebration of creativity, storytelling, and cinematic artistry, taking place on March 26th-27th, 2026, in the vibrant city of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China
This festival brings together Middle and High School students from across the region and beyond to showcase their filmmaking talents. With screenings of selected films, hands-on workshops, and inspiring ceremonies, the event fosters a dynamic platform for young creators to share their stories, connect with peers, and gain recognition in a professional setting.

Before submitting, please make sure to read our rules and terms. All films must be made by someone of middle or high school age (generally 19 or under).

Categories
All films (national and international) may be submitted into only one of the following categories:
- Narrative Film: Any narrative live-action film. Fictional works (drama, comedy, etc.) between 3–12 minutes in length.
- Documentary: Short-form documentaries (5-15 minutes) addressing local or global issues.
- Experimental Film: Non-traditional storytelling that pushes the boundaries of form and content. Any film under 10 minutes that does not fit the mold of typical filmmaking.
- One Minute Film: Maximum length - 1 minute (including titles and credits). Open to any genre or style except music videos and advertisements. Entries should show strong storytelling, visual creativity, and originality in a short format.
Note: public service announcements, commercials, and film trailers are not eligible for consideration in any category.
Eligibility
The film’s director(s) must have been 19 years of age or younger at the time of production.

Film Submission Process
Online Application: Must be completed no later than 16:00pm Beijing time, January 23rd, 2026

Preferred Methods:
For films: use any cloud storage drive (ex. Google Cloud, Baidu Disk, Dropbox)
Important Notice: The film must be available starting from the date of application submission and remain accessible for at least one year following the festival's closing date.
For applications: fill in the online application provided by Festival Organizing Committee.
Synopsis:
The 3-line synopsis submitted with your online application will be used in the festival guide and promotional materials. Please write an engaging and compelling description of your film. The PVIFF reserves the right to edit synopses for length and grammar.
Notification:
If your film is selected for the PVIFF 2026, you will be notified via email on February 6th, 2026. Applicants whose films are not selected will also be notified by email. Please inform us if your email address changes and add [email protected] to your safe sender list. Note that we often encounter issues with emails sent to school domains (e.g., .edu, .gov). Whenever possible, please use a personal email address for your submission.
Screening Requirements:
Films selected for the PVIFF 2026 must provide an exhibition copy in Full-Resolution QuickTime format (ProRes 422 preferred). The exhibition copy must be received no later than February 13th, 2026. Please note that exhibition copies will not be returned. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Conditions of participation
Authors and/or owners of films wishing to participate in the festival must complete and submit an application to the Festival Organizing Committee in the prescribed manner. By submitting the application, the author and/or owner consents to the screening of their film as part of the Final Round of the Festival.
Films submitted to the festival for competition must adhere to the duration limits specified for each category. Films must have been completed no earlier than January 2024 and submitted to the Festival Organizing Committee at least one month before the festival’s start date (refer to Appendix). Films produced more than a year prior to the festival may be considered for competition if explicitly allowed in the Appendix to the Regulations.
An author and/or owner may submit no more than two films for participation in the festival program.
All films must be in original languages and subtitled in English/or Chinese.
Participants agree that the Festival Organizing Committee reserves the right to screen the submitted film at any Festival-related events without any remuneration. Refusal to participate in the Final Round will result in the film's exclusion from the festival competition program.
The selection of films for the festival is conducted by the Selection Committee, which has the final authority to decide on the inclusion of a film in the Festival Competition Screenings. Films that do not pass the competitive selection process will not be considered further.
