Our ultimate goal is to inspire the next generation of filmmakers, celebrate the power of storytelling, and contribute to the global cinematic landscape.

Awards & Prizes

All Officially Selected projects in each season will receive laurels and certificates. All seasonal award winners will receive laurels and customized certificates and are rated on their respective IMDb pages (if applicable). Each season, most representatives of award winners are screened online in OAT.

Besides the BEST OF THE CATEGORY AWARDS, there are also OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS, CRITICS CHOICE AWARDS, AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARDS, and HONOURABLE MENTION AWARDS, which are given, in all categories. All seasonal winners of the period from a 12-month calendar will be automatically nominated for the prestigious annual award (the best of the best) and they will be invited to attend our Annual Live Screening Gala in London in the presence of juries, critics, film scholars and eminent movie personalities from across the globe.

Films entered in multiple categories may win multiple awards.

Rules & Terms

Rules and Terms:

Submission Categories:

We accept films in the following categories: Feature Films, Short Films, Documentaries, Animation, Experimental, and Student Films.
Films must be submitted in English or have English subtitles.
Eligibility:

Films submitted to SICC must have been completed within the last two years.
There is no restriction on the number of films a filmmaker can submit.
Films that have premiered at other festivals are welcome, but films that are publicly available online are not eligible.
Film Length:

Feature Films: 60 minutes or longer.
Short Films: Under 40 minutes.
Documentaries: No length restriction.
Experimental/Animation: No length restriction.
Entry Fee:

All submissions must be accompanied by a non-refundable entry fee. Early bird discounts may apply.
Fee waivers will be provided only in exceptional circumstances.
Selection Process:

Films will be reviewed by a panel of industry experts and selected based on originality, creativity, technical quality, and storytelling.
Decisions made by the selection committee are final.
Awards:

Sterling International Cine Carnival presents awards in multiple categories, including Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Audience Choice Award, and more.
Prizes include trophies, certificates, and potential distribution or collaboration opportunities.
Screening Format:

Films selected for screening must be provided in high-quality digital formats (specifications will be provided upon selection).
Rights and Permissions:

By submitting a film to SICC, filmmakers affirm that they hold all necessary rights to the film’s content, including music, images, and video.
The festival has the right to use excerpts of selected films for promotional purposes.
Legal Liability:

The filmmaker is responsible for any claims regarding copyright infringement or other legal matters related to their submission.
The festival is not responsible for any loss or damage to the submitted materials.
General Terms:

Submission of a film does not guarantee selection for screening.
Selected films will be notified by email. Filmmakers must confirm their participation in the festival within a specified period.
The festival reserves the right to make changes to the program, dates, or venue if necessary.
