Awarding the Pinnacle of Cinematic Craftsmanship

The Great Hornbill International Cine Awards is a prestigious global celebration that honors the finest in cinematic artistry. Named after the majestic Great Hornbill, a symbol of grace, strength, and resilience, this festival aims to recognize films that reflect the same powerful vision and excellence. Drawing inspiration from the bird's soaring flight and vibrant spirit, the awards seek to elevate extraordinary storytellers and showcase their work on an international platform.

Every year, The Great Hornbill International Cine Awards celebrates films that go beyond boundaries—films that push the limits of creativity, masterfully blending art and emotion. With categories spanning across genres, styles, and cultural perspectives, we aim to shine a spotlight on the innovative filmmakers who shape the future of global cinema.

Mission & Vision
At The Great Hornbill International Cine Awards, our mission is to honor the pinnacle of cinematic craftsmanship—those films that move, inspire, and challenge us. We seek to foster an environment where visionary filmmakers from every corner of the world are given the recognition they deserve, and their stories are shared with audiences globally. Our vision is simple: to become a symbol of excellence in storytelling, where cinema meets its highest potential and brings people together through the power of visual art.

Awards & Prizes

Film Submission
The festival is open to filmmakers from all over the world. We accept films of all genres, including feature films, shorts, documentaries, and animations. Filmmakers can submit their films through our online submission platform, with deadlines for submissions clearly outlined on the festival’s website.

Selection Process
Our selection committee comprises esteemed filmmakers, critics, and industry professionals who carefully review all submissions. Films are chosen based on their artistic excellence, originality, impact, and overall craftsmanship. The selected films are then nominated across various categories, with the winners revealed at the prestigious awards ceremony.

Festival Screening
Once the films are selected, they are screened to a global audience in a series of curated events and gala screenings. These screenings are open to filmmakers, industry professionals, press, and passionate film lovers from around the world.

The Awards Ceremony
The highlight of the festival is the Awards Ceremony, held annually at a grand venue. The evening is a celebration of filmmaking artistry, where the Golden Hornbill Trophy, symbolizing excellence and achievement, is presented to the deserving winners in each category.
