He has worked in numerous numbers of projects as a Cinematographer and Editor for the last two decades. Gradually he became an Empanelled Producer and Director of I & CA, Govt. of West Bengal, West Bengal Film Development Corporation, National Council of Science Museum (Calcutta), ICAR, DAVP, IGNOU (New Delhi).
International fame came to him in 2005 when he made Wangala. “WANGALA” – a documentary film on GARO tribes in the Northeast of the Himalayan foothill range, it was premier with very much appreciation in ‘Document 2 film Festival’ (September 2004) in GLASGOW, Scotland, U.K. and Awarded as ‘Special Mention’ film in the ‘Golden Gate Fiction & Documentary Film Festival’ (December 2004) in San Francisco, USA and as ‘Integral Realization’ in the ‘Honolulu International Film Festival’ — as a Photographer, Director & Producer. VORAI - The Melody of a New Dawn - A Fiction film on social awareness, received 2 international Awards in “Best Film” in the Golden Gate Film Festival and “Best Screenplay” in Bruxelles Film Festival in the year of 2008, as an Editor & Executive Producer. Living with Clay - A Documentary on Large size clay Idol 'Maa Durga" official selection and World Premier in the River to River Film Festival, Florance, Italy as an Editor & Producer in 2012.
