Sudipta (he/him) is an Indian-origin actor and director who has been performing in the USA since 2013. He has acted and directed full-length plays in three languages: Bengali, English, and Hindi. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he extended his technical expertise to conduct virtual theater festivals across multiple time zones, and even directed a play with actors in three different cities in the US.

On stage, his recent performances include Sumon [Unplanned, (in Bengali), 2019], Michael Starkwedder [The Unexpected Guest (in English), 2018], and Inspector Usmaan [Arsenic and Old Lace (in Hindi), 2017]. He has also directed plays in as many languages including most recently Cool It [in Bengali, Virtual Stage, 2020], Hahalabar Porihas [in Bengali, 2019]. Currently, he is making a short film titled Ke Baba, Hahalaba which will be featured in upcoming film festivals.

Off-stage, Sudipta is an officer at the largest Indian theater group in the USA, Naatak, where he handles their digital marketing and web presence. He loves to read books, watch movies, and go on hikes with his wife and their forever puppy, Moni. A software company in the San Francisco bay area helps him pay his bills.
