Dušan Davidov

Dušan Davidov, born on October 11, 1955, nationality - Slovak. Higher Education 1974-79 Institute of Cinematography VGIK - Moscow, Russia, specializing director of feature films. From 1980-1991 he is a dramaturgy, screenwriter, and director of Czechoslovak Television in Košice. From 1991 to 2018 he worked as a director and screenwriter for commercial and public television. He also prepares dubbing of feature and documentary films from abroad.
2010-2012 is taught at the Film School in Košice (film analysis, world film history). He is the chair of the section for Television, Film and Video in the Literary Fund. Since 2016 he has been involved with animated films. “Idiot” is his first animated film.
Director Statement
1980-1991 directed 20 television production and fairy tales for children and teenagers.
He wrote 10 scripts according to the stories of well-known authors: “Mill on sand” 1981, “Unbeaten” /1983/, F.M.Dotoyevski: “Eternal husband”/1985/, / F.Durenmatt: „Failure“ /1993/, A.Chekhov: „Late Flowers” /2000/
