Biography
I was born and raised in Cardiff, Wales. I emigrated to the United States, receiving my MA and PhD from UCSB. I taught English studies and creative writing at CSU, Chico. I am a multiple national and international award-winning screenplay writer. I also have won awards for my stage plays and novels. I am now an Emeritus Professor I continue to teach: A History of the Celts, The Myths of the Celts, and Shakespeare.
I have written ten screenplays, six teleplays, five stage plays, four novels and an autobiography. I am a multiple national and international award-winning screenplay writer.
I am married and live in Chico, California.
I love to explore and write, in serious and comic forms, stories of those who, through choice or happenstance, find themselves strangers in a strange land (or even in their own land). I share the immigrants’ attempts to “navigate as safely as possible through an ever-shifting landscape of independent and unpredictable powers” (Alan Jacabs), and the difficulty of coalescing given and adopted values and ways of seeing.
